ayom, israel ist das schoen!!
ayom was a helping of the most english i've had so far... made for a nice afternoon/evening. a lazy morning (they all are as i try to get accustomed to the time change still) was followed by a nice afternoon in Jaffa. and, katy - earning the silver star today because her friend - marina - natuerlich, gold star - brought her digital camera as she showed me around jaffa. that's right, camera access. so let me assuage your fears - before long, this blog will have some colors.
und morgen, morgen ist Wedding Day!!!! wish yoav could be here. but tomorrow nonetheless promises to be a marvelous day. the keystone of the trip, really. so morgen werde ich ja haben pictures of the wedding, und mehr!

What is ayom?
ayom means 'today' in hebrew. it's the english spelling of the hebrew word, which is as close as i get.
the rest of the words you don't know are mostly german, thrown in for no good reason
:)
Hi Matt,
Michelle's roomie here. Mah Schlochem. I'm so glad you are enjoying Israel. I've been three times and lived on Kibbutz K'far Hanassi for a while in 2000. I love it there. So, I really want to help you with your Hebrew. It's Hayom (today). Yom unto itself is just day. And because it starts with a Hay in Hebrew, we start it with an H in transliteration. It's hard because Israeli's speak so quickly, like lightning (much like their driving).
Bilui naim (and drink a Goldstar for me!)
Chavera Shelach,
Sarah
